A bit fiery for most in the new romantic camp during the early '80's, China Crisis were inspired by similar sources but injected their pop songs with occasional political commentary and blues reggae rhythms. The band are known for their string of hit singles, including 'Wishful thinking', 'African and White', 'Christian', 'Working with Fire and Steel' and 'Black Man Ray'.
