The most important act to emerge from the Italian underground in the second half of the 1990s, Subsonica managed to reach a mainstream audience without giving up any of their artistic personality. Mixing dance, electronica and pop/rock in an instantly recognisable blend, they were in many ways the best representation of the contemporary Turin scene.
